Connecting

Our Commitment to Connecting
|
We deeply desire that we connect with our brothers and sisters and that we function together as a family, as the body of Christ. While biblical worship and preaching are essential for the well-being of the church and for the praise and glory of God, knowing each other at deeper levels and learning to be a family is also an essential part of living out the Great Commission.
To this end we are intentional about providing different levels of connecting within the church, providing for both the visitor, the new attender, and those deeply committed to God's family at Shiloh Hills Fellowship.

| Time Between Services |
We encourage you to "hang around" between services, greeting not only those who sit near you but making an effort to get to know the new faces. Whether you know them or not, if they are disciples of Jesus Christ they are your brothers and sisters, and you will want to get to know them. There will be people at the Info Desk in the back of the main auditorium after the service to answer any questions you may have.

Sunday Groups
|
Sunday Groups have been specifically designed to help you get to know other people. The classes are biblical in their teaching content, but they are not just another class where you are “talked at.” It is also a time to connect and be encouraged. There are a variety of groups offered at 9 am and 10:45 am.
|
| Discovering Shiloh Hills Fellowship |
If you would like to know more about Shiloh Hills Fellowship, a course is offered periodically where you can learn about the church’s beliefs, structure, ministries, and where you can fit in. These sessions are presented by our pastoral staff.
|
| Groups |
A deeper level of connection occurs in the context of groups. They are comprised of 7-12 people and meet in homes, at church, in coffee shops, at work, or on campus at least twice a month. There are small groups, prayer groups, D-Groups, men's groups, women's groups, etc. Each group has its own personality and focus, but the main emphasis is to deepen relationships while growing in our understanding of God's Word. Group study materials are self-determined and include areas of personal application, accountability, and prayer.
|
| Ministry |
Ultimately, the deepest connections are formed when we serve together as the body of Christ. Every one of us has at least one abiding passion, one area of spiritual giftedness (although at times God may be calling us to expand into other unknown areas of service). Ultimately, our deepest personal connections are with people with whom we serve. A spiritual gifts workshop is offered periodically.
