About AmandaGROWING UP
Amanda was born in Tucson, AZ, moving to and from various cities in her upbringing but ultimately graduating from Othello High School in Othello, WA. She left her small town country girl lifestyle when moving to Spokane to attend college and has a BA in Business Management, Human Resource Management, and Communications from Eastern Washington University.
Her family regularly attended church which, in turn, brought a deep love of Jesus in the heart of Amanda at a very young age. But when family life changed, church was no longer a staple in her daily life. It wasn't until meeting a man who would one day be her husband that she truly dedicated her life to the Lord.
FALLING IN LOVE
She met the love of her life, Rob, the summer of 2001, recalling it as the "the greatest gift God could give" to her. They dated, and were married in March of 2004 in Snoqualmie Falls, WA. They have one son and two daughters.
JUST FOR FUN
Be it finding new adventures around the community, traveling, or experiencing culture through new foods, the McAlerney's love to simply spend time together while enjoying the beautiful world around them.
Joining the TeamLED TO SHILOH
After making a move to the north side of Spokane, Amanda was invited by a neighbor friend to join a MOPS group in 2007 happening at Shiloh. The family was looking for a place to attend church and get plugged into as their oldest was just two years old. After joining a Bible study and getting involved, they decided to make Shiloh their home.
God put the Kids Ministry Director position on her heart and she simply submitted to His calling. She accepted this position in November of 2018.
"We have been loved on by so many throughout the years," Amanda said, "and it just brings my heart complete joy that God has provided a place for me to keep pouring out that love to other families."
THE ULTIMATE GOAL
"I am honored to be a part of Kids Ministry here at Shiloh where I can help facilitate a safe, fun-filled atmosphere that shines forth God's great love for us all," Amanda said.
"With the loving support of our church body, I truly believe the children of Shiloh will be sparked with joy to engage in a life-long relationship with Jesus. After all, we are all God's children."
He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me. - Mark 9:36-37 SPREAD THE LOVE
