RSVP Pt. 2
May 2021 - July 2021 RSVP Pt. 2The Book of Luke
Throughout Luke and Acts, Luke paints a picture that focuses on the salvation of the caring, gracious God, who has sent Jesus to transform people’s lives through the gift of salvation in the Spirit.
In this season, we will watch as Luke provides an overview of Jesus’ work both in word and deed. We'll see how his actions serve to point toward a time of salvation to which all receive an invitation. Jesus will make claims about who he is and the kingdom to come. In light of this announcement, some will support and choose to follow him while others will oppose him. Which leaves us with the question we must answer: “How will we respond to Jesus?” |
CONNECTED: RELATIONSHIPS

BE KILLING SIN OR SIN WILL BE KILLING YOU
February 7, 2021 Be Killing Sin or Sin Will Be Killing YouWe don't always treat sin in a way that reveals just how deadly it is, do we? But the truth is allowing our sin to be unaddressed is kind of like keeping a lion in our closet. And it's especially dangerous when we pretend it can be tamed.
Pastor Brolin Rosquist shares with us from Colossians how Paul talks about sin, how to put it to death, and how we can live fully transformed, putting off the old and living in love. |
REFLECTING GOD'S HEART: GENEROUS
January 31, 2021 Reflecting God's Heart: GenerousHow generous is God? Generous enough that he gave his own son? And if he's so generous, how should does this impact the way we live?
Special guest speaker, Nate Hettinga, joins us from Converge Northwest to challenge us to live generously in all areas of our lives and recognize that while we get to manage our money, time, and resources, ultimately God is the owner of it all. |
GOD WITH US
November 2020 - December 2020 God With UsIn his Gospel, Matthew says that Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of a sign given to the prophet Isaiah, that a virgin would conceive and give birth to a son who would be called “Immanuel”, which means God with us.
God with us. This phrase is the heartbeat of all of Scripture. From Genesis to Revelation. From creation to new creation. God’s relational presence is the thread that ties all of Scripture together. Join us as we see how God’s desire has always been to dwell with humanity. God with us. |

As we study the book of Daniel, it's going to offer us a template of how a follower of God can live faithfully and in fact, thrive in Babylon. So, what is Babylon? What does it mean to be an exile? And can we participate in the world without compromise? Join us for this 7-week series to find out. |
GROWING PAINS
May 2020 - July 2020 Growing PainsThe Book of James
Growing up isn’t always easy. In fact, it can be painful. There are all sorts of “growing pains”. Some might be the natural result of our bodies growing. Others might be from a refusal to listen to wise counsel and learn from those who have gone before us. Others might be the consequence and discipline of poor choices.
This was true when were going through adolescence and it’s also true of our walk with Jesus. Join us as we receive encouragement and admonishment from the letter of James that we may become spiritually mature. Or, in the words of James, we “may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (1:4). |
CAN'T STOP THE FEELINGS
April 26, 2020 Can't Stop the FeelingsPsalm 42-43

In this sermon we investigate how intense emotions invite intentional movement and use Psalm 42-43 as our example.

FINALLY AT REST
March 2020 - present Finally At RestThe most important relationship that we have is the one with God. The second most important relationship is to people. What if you were told there is something that can kill both of these? What if you were told this thing will destroy your connection and soul at the same time?
That one thing is this: Hurry. Did you think of sin? They both have the same effect. They continue to shut off the most important connections in our lives. But there is hope. From the very beginning God has provided a way for His creation to connect with Him and reflect on His role as Creator and Redeemer. All you have to do is stop. Pause. Rest. This series is aimed to help us understand what the biblical idea of rest entails so we may live full, thriving, connected lives with God and each other. It won’t be easy. It won’t be quick. However, in time we can all step back and enjoy the blessing that God has given us, that we can finally be at rest. |

What happens when the people of God fall on their knees in prayer together? Let’s find out! |
ENOUGH
November 2019 - December 2019 EnoughThe Book of Colossians
The church in Colossae found themselves facing pressures from people who attempted to influence how they lived. The purpose of this letter seems to be to provide resources that the church needed to fend off false teaching.
This is what makes the letter to the Colossians applicable to Christians today. We all have other voices in our ears telling us how we should live. We may even convince ourselves of right and wrong apart from Jesus. However, Paul’s point to the Colossians seems to be that what they have received in Jesus is enough. He is enough for them to fend off false teachers. He is enough for them to deal with their sins. He is enough for them to grow confidently in their faith. Jesus is enough. |
PRIDE & PREJUDICE
October 2019 - November 2019 Pride & PrejudiceThe Book of Jonah
Jonah was a prophet who was commanded by God to go and preach against Nineveh, the Assyrian capital. Assyria was the biggest and baddest kingdom on the planet. They were known for their violence and brutality. Jonah knew if he preached there was a chance for repentance because the time between the proclamation of judgment and the carrying out of judgment is grace time. He decided he knew better than God. He was prideful. He decided the Assyrians didn’t deserve the chance. He was prejudiced.
Unbelievers need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. They need relationships with followers of Jesus. Sometimes, however, Christians can forget that the gospel is for everyone. We arrogantly decide who should or shouldn’t get to hear the message of repentance. We let our biases keep us from proclaiming God’s mercy to those who need it. And in doing so, we defy the very King we claim to serve. |
FOUR CHAIR DISCIPLESHIP
September 2019 - October 2019 Four Chair DiscipleshipDo you remember your first steps? Or what about the time you learned to read? Chances are you didn’t do it on your own. Someone was with you. Someone was helping you. Someone was guiding you. Someone needed to invest in you in order to help you grow.
This is exactly what God has designed the church to do. We can always do more as a team than we can as individuals. If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together. For together we can accomplish great things. |
HE IS ABLE
August 2019 He is AbleSometimes life can come at us fast. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming. We can begin to experience pressures that cause anxiety and stress. If we’re honest, sometimes we begin to doubt God. We ask questions like how will I get through this?
When we are not asking questions, we may find ourselves at a loss on what God is up to. If you have ever felt like this, if you’ve ever asked questions like this, then this series is for you. We will explore the truth that God is able. He is able to do above and beyond what we can hope for or imagine. He is able to be trusted when people fail. He is able to provide when it seems like all hope is lost. He is able to love and forgive even the worst offenders. |
THE GOOD LIFE
May 2019 - August 2019 The Good LifeThe Book of Proverbs
God has given us a lot of different tools to navigate this life. But have you ever thought of "wisdom" as one of those tools? We often ask God for wisdom but are we willing to pick that tool up and practice its craft in order to build a life in the wisdom of God?
In this 15-week series, we will explore the Proverbs to discover what this wisdom literature has to say about a variety of topics such as stewardship, relationships, emotions, and integrity. And you'll be drawn to ponder this question: On what foundation is your life being built on? |
