About VickiVicki was born and raised in Van Wert, OH, a small farming town near the Ohio/Indiana border. Vicki grew up in a Christian home and was led to the Lord when she was 5 years old by Mrs. Baer, who was the “Church Grandma”. She was mentored through her Jr High and High School years by her church youth leaders.
She graduated with an AA degree in Office Management from Northwestern College (now University of Northwestern), a Bible college in St. Paul, MN. After graduating from college, she remained in St. Paul for a couple of years until being accepted to join a touring Christian music and drama group called The Carpenter’s Workshop, which brought her to Spokane in August of 1983.
Vicki met the love of her life, Tom, through a friend she had moved in with who was a part of a singles group that he also attended. They were married in 1987 and have three grown kids, two daughters and a son.
Vicki loves going on walks with her husband, having coffee with friends, working on puzzles, reading, and gathering with her family.
Joining the TeamVicki has been a part of the Shiloh body for many years as her family was a part of Cornerstone Fellowship, which merged with Shiloh Hills Baptist in 2002 to become Shiloh Hills Fellowship.
She has been a part of our team as our Treasurer for nearly a decade, beginning in July of 2008.
THE ULTIMATE GOAL
"Money doesn’t just cause trouble in marriages; it can cause friction in the church, too. My job is to oversee the finances of the church, but that means more than just making sure the checking account balances and the bills get paid," Vicki said.
"I also spend time helping ministry leaders with their budgets and helping the people understand how the church’s finances work. We have a generous congregation and they need to know that their tithes and offerings are doing what they are meant to do… furthering God’s Kingdom."
We are so happy to have Vicki on our team! If you want to get to know her better, have questions, or would like to send her a note of encouragement, you can do so by sending an email here.
